Hello, and welcome from Oh, My

Lions and tigers, I say. Lions and tigers.

No bears. They’re on strike. There is a cow, though. I don’t see him at the moment, but I know he’s here.

Yesterday I wrote 434 words, down a bit from the day before. I got caught up a bit reading and was a little more tired than the day should merit. I had spent more than a little time sneezing and suffering a leaky nose in the morning, but an Advil Cold & Sinus seemed to stop that in it’s tracks. Thankfully.

My total words for the day clocked in at 706*, and my average pulp words are riding at 480. I really need another couple 1K+ days, and I think I can manage them, hopefully on Saturday and Sunday.

Wish me luck.

Late Start

I slept in this morning until about 10:30, which was fabulous because I love sleep. I wish there was a way to enjoy sleep without losing time, because I want the enjoyment of sleepĀ and to get all the things done. Alas, that is not currently how things work. I’ll just have to keep working the way things are.

Yesterday went well. I got a bunch of errands done including a return (money in my pocket) and a purchase (money right back out of my pocket). I spent some time at Wegman’s writing, since I missed meeting my writing group there on Tuesday, but actually got a lot more done at home than out.

I wrote 255 blog words yesterday. The photo post actually was made after midnight, but I hadn’t gone to bed yet so I fudged the post time to make it before midnight. Before bed is still the current day, even if the clock says otherwise.

And I got a thrilling 1,251 fiction words in! The chapter I was working on went well, so I polished that off in the morning. It was when I went to Wegman’s that I had trouble focusing over the Nick Junior TV in the area I was seated in.I think what I’m most looking forward to right now is having my parents finish moving in so I can return the things of theirs that I have stashed under my desk. I’ll re-clear the surface, get the old computer set up, and have a writing desk that doesn’t face the TV. Oh, and I need to ask a friend to make the Internet go away on that computer completely. Apparently, it’s not hard, but if I know how it’s done then I’ll be able to turn it back on. I don’t want that. I want distraction free writing. My self-control just needs a little boost in this department.

Today I’d like to finish another chapter. Hopefully, that means another 1,000 plus for today’s count. Fingers crossed!
