Greetings and salutations! Please enjoy this selection from A Brief History of Space Cats, and the Care and Feeding Thereof by Sarah Ever. Written by the main character from Space Cats from Space, these entries form a resource for feline companions to help them ease the transition from cat “owner” to their true role as caretaker and, possibly, human slave. Please enjoy!
The form of currency preferred by our feline companions appears to be laser lights.
I wish I were only teasing.
This a concept is so foreign to me; I’m not even sure why I’m writing it down. Pinky insisted, however, and Blinky backed him up.
I haven’t quite worked out how laser lights turn into currency. It has something to do with the skill of the human wielding it, the quantity of laser lights available, and the number of people in the household willing to use them.
Not all felines have access to such currency, however, and Pinky suggests that in those situations, other items that are can be pursued may suffice.
Mice, house centipedes, autonomous robotic vacuum cleaners, and the like.
Editor’s note: Pinky was jerking Sarah’s chain, emboldened by catnip. He bribed Blinky to go along with him. Cats have a currency system based on credits, recorded and transferred throughout their nanite-powered network.
She’s going to be so pissed when she finds out.
