It’s a roof! It’s a tree! It’s the sky!

Roofs and Treetops

These are a few of my favorite things! Someday they will have cameras that attach to your eyeballs and what you see will be the photo you get, instead of this crazy, “close enough” stuff. Or, perhaps (and eternally more likely) someday I will start carrying my “real” camera instead of doing this experiment on my te-le-pha-lone. (Introducing mangled pronunciations from Nicki!)

  1. I’ll admit that when Google Glass was first announced, I really hoped that the ability to take pictures that looked the way the things look to me was one of the features. The main problem, of course, is that for any device, the lens must be external to the eye and is limited by physics of focal distance, etc. So even as they start putting features onto soft contacts, I doubt that photos will ever *really* be exactly what we see.

    More’s the pity. 🙁

    1. I don’t hate it, but I have greater range with the real one. Especially since I turned down the resolution I take photos with on the phone, since mostly I just upload them to the blog, and I like not having to size them down to get them online.
