Ditch Weeds

I don’t notice these weeds in any other place than Iowa. I remember them and clover everywhere growing up, so of course I grabbed a photo.

    1. They could be common elsewhere. I suppose Iowa and Indiana are the only states besides Pennsylvania where I drive around to see ditches. 🙂

  1. Probably Queen Anne’s lace (and we do get that in some spots in Pennsylvania).

    Other similar looking flowers: water hemlock, carrots, and fennel (but fennel is tall, yellow, and smells strongly of licorice).
